2020 - 2021: Method development
Following extensive literature research, we identified an opportunity to develop a more general theoretical model than the current state-of-the-art, which consists of the Young's equations and, on the other hand, the Young-Laplace equations. From this model, we progressed towards the idea of valorization through a new method for characterizing wetting properties. We proposed an experimental protocol that, with the developed method, allows for increased reliability in predicting wetting properties.

Marc Medale became an Associate Professor, in 1992, at Aix-Marseille University, he conducts research at the IUSTI laboratory (CNRS UMR 7343) and has been a Full Professor at UFR Polytech Marseille since 2003.

David Brutin received his M.Sc. / Engineering diploma in mechanical engineering in 2000. In 2003, he obtained his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Provence, France. He became Assistant Professor at Aix-Marseille University, France, in 2005, then Associate Professor in 2009. In 2015, he became Full Professor at Aix-Marseille University and also received an excellency fellowship from the Institut Universitaire de France.
